Who Are We?

A non-profit platform dedicated to biochar education, research, and practical application with expanding biochar’s role in creating a more sustainable world.

What Is Biochar?

Biochar is a carbon-rich, charcoal-like material produced from biomass through a high-temperature, low-oxygen process known as pyrolysis. Typically created at temperatures ranging from 350°C to 1,000°C, this process transforms organic residues into a stable form of carbon that can be used in soils, water systems, and industrial applications.

Why Asia-Pacific?

The Asia-Pacific region is rich in agricultural residues, forestry by-products, and urban biomass—creating strong potential for biochar as a nature-based and circular economy solution.
